do you have to take the c sec class each time?

im pretty sure i remember them saying when i went a few months back that once you take it and have the stupid certificate (that they never asked us for mind you) that you never had to take the class agian.

that is what i was hoping to hear... i still have the certificate with ds's paperwork... since they never did ask for it... HOWEVER when i went in for preterm labor they did ask for it... i think it deends on the nurse to be honest with you

yes that is the truth and what the Nurse/instructor told us at the class.. i would just bring the old one with you.. OR you can call the hospital and ask them if you need to go back... most likley they will tell you NOWAY!

Had both children at Good Sam. I took the c-section class before DS (#1) and had a normal delivery. Tried to have a normal delivery with #2 and ended up with a c-section. They never mentioned the class or certificate.
Until now, I completely forgot about the class.
Are you definitely having a c-section?

hopefully not but as of now the baby is breach and ds was 9 pounds at almost 4 weeks early so the doc is mentioning the possiblilty

I wouldn't worry too much about it. I can't see them turning you away because you didn't take the class the second time.
Good luck!
I highly recommend requesting a private room. It made a huge difference for me as I was not too comfortable sharing a room.
