moms whos DC are crawling, standing up and trying to walk
DD is all over the place and now she is standing up holding onto anything cruising around, usually if she falls she lands on her butt, but the other day she fell backwards 2X once in the LR on the carpet floor while she was standing up and hit her head(while my DH and I were BOTH next to her) and the2nd time in the kitchen on the hard tile floor, fell back again hitting her head(she got out while we were installing a gate between kitchen and tv room), I always watch her very closely and never let her out of my sight, but I don't want to make her feel insecure, I don't want her to be scared of trying to walk, but I am so scared , I was crying historically when she fell 2nd time ,I called the doc and he isn't concerned , he said kids fall all the time and that's how they learn, but I am afraid that if she falls too many times on her head something will happen. Does that happen to your child at all? How do you deal with it??

It will stop soon. When Noah first started with the above, this happened like 4-8 times and now he hasnt fallen since. The first month was the worst and had 2-3 scary falls.
Just hang in there!

I'm not sure there's much you can do. My DD just fell backwards from a standing position onto my ceramic tile floor yesterday...OUCH! I just picked her up and brushed her off and she was fine in 30 seconds. It's just a stage...a heart-attack causing one, but hopefully it's brief!

Caden isnt pulling up yet but he's face planted a few times from falling over while sitting and/or crawling..we just brush him off and tell him he's OK. It's funny how quickly they learn what NOT to do.
With my older girls we'd calm their fears but just "throw" them back into it...KWIM?
