Miracle Blanket Moms

DS is two months old today and it he is breaking out of his miracle blanket.

He had been struggling every time to get his feet out so I had been putting him down with just his arms swaddled. Then two nights ago I went in to get him and somehow he had wriggled so much it was bunched up around his neck and over his face! Of course I panicked.

Yesterday I tried during his naps putting him in a sleepsack and then tucking his feet in and he didn't get his feet out so we tried that last night. The feet stayed but he got his arms out. They were completely free.

What do I do now? He won't sleep unless swaddled. We have the swaddle me but it doesn't work as well. Isn't this early to be breaking out of the swaddle? Any advice on how to transition him to sleep without it?

Re: Miracle Blanket Moms

Are you making the miracle blanket tight enough? I know when DD was in this if I made it too loose she would break out.

We loved the MB, DD was in it till she was 5 months old. It was a lifesaver.

My DS was breaking free too, but I started swaddling him very tightly. I really wrapped him. Also, I made sure that he was wrapped starting at the shoulders.

Make sure you are making it tight enough....we had DS in it until he was 6 months. He started to be able to break out an arm or a leg when he was around 5 months but not when he was so little. You may just need to adjust how you put it on.

Re: Miracle Blanket Moms

my DD has been breaking out since she was about 4 or 5 weeks old. But often she goes back to sleep.

I definitely make it tight enough, but she still bring her legs up and pushes out, I watch herChat Icon

I even wrote to them and they said wrap tight. They also said it's the arms that matter not the legs.
