Moms who's DC have Speech Therapy, please come in
So DS has been getting Speech help for the past 3 months now I think. The therapist constantly brings the SAME toys and doesn't really do anything new. Lately DS doesn't really want to play with her toys anymore but his own and maybe will incorporate her toys a little bit. Doesn't seem like she teaches him any new words just the same words over and over.
So, I am just looking for recommendations for a new therapist. I live near the Smithaven Mall. If you can please recommend the therapists name, Agency and how the therapist teaches your DC.
Thanks...
ETA: I am also starting Seperation Class for DS, so it just happens to land on the days therapist is here so it kind of worked out for us in deciding for a new therapist.

I don't really have a recomendation since I was less than thrilled with Ry's old speech therapist. Same story, same old toys, he was just so uninterested, but she also just did not click with him. Maybe talk to the agency director about your concerns and ask for a new therapist from her? Good luck!

I just had the same issue. I requested a new therapist and what a difference. I should have done it months ago...Call your coordinator to get a new one...I felt bad at first because I liked her as a person but it wasnt beneficial to my son...
