Moms with PCOS...Birth control question
What did you use for birth control after the baby was born?
I've heard that sometimes your cycles will regulate themselves...did this happen to anyone?
I'd like to use the lowest amount of hormones possible since I was so screwed up from coming off nuvaring and TTC.
Thanks in advance!

I have heard of others getting preggo on Nuvaring too. Guess it is not as effective as they claim!
I was never diagnosed with PCOS but I had VERY irregular cycles and a lot of symptoms of it. FWIW, after having my DD my cycles have been very regular. So it's definitely possibly that your cycles will regulate.
If you want to avoid hormones, IUDs area a good option(Mirena has hormones but they don't pass into your bloodstream, just stay in the uterus so you avoid the hormonal side effects)

Re: Moms with PCOS...Birth control question
I went back on the pill (Yasmin) after dd was born. It made me CRAZY..moodswings, crying all the time, etc. I had been on that for years before we TTC and never had an issue. My Dr said that often happens after you have a child. So, I switched to Orthocept...made me gain weight and still had mood swings, plus NO $ex drive. So, we're using condoms now until I decide what I want to do. Might look into Mirena, but my cycles have been regular the past few months and I don't really want hormones either...

i was on it for years with no issues at all - in fact, i loved it! All it takes is 1 bad batch... perhaps it was mishandled @ the pharmacy (not refrigerated). Who knows?!

Condoms and PNP
At least so far. I'm 6 months PP and haven't gotten my period yet so I can't help you with that.
I was never diagnosed with PCOS but I had cysts come and go whenever I wasn't on the pill, my whole life.
