Monday Morning Pity Party....
OK, so I know that I have been extremely blessed. For the last 9 months I have been able to work from home 95% of the time.
But today I embark on a 4 week journey that will have me traveling into NYC every day.
So basically for the next 4 weeks I will be leaving the house at 7 and coming home at 7.... and will probably see Lucas for about a half hour each day... 
I know that it could be worse, I know that there are women out there who do this every day, I know I am extremely lucky and blessed.... I just wanted to have a "sorry for myself" moment!!!!
Thanks for listening to me whine!

 I know the feeling...I dont work as long hours as you are going to be doing, but I hate the fact that when i get home, it is almost time to start the night time routine...It does get better each day...but it is still hard!!!

You are entitled to have that pity party! It's hard to leave your baby for so long and to not have the time you want with them. No matter how long it lasts.. it stinks.

Do something special for yourself everyday, no matter how little it might be. Have fun! Listen to your ipod for an hour, walk on your own! Try to enjoy it!

I completely agree with this. As much as we all love our children to pieces, some time away from them is healthy. Enjoy, and know that your sweet baby will be waiting for you when you come home!

Thank you so much for your perspective on this! You know, I have just gotten so used to working from my home office with the little man right outside the door... I can go sneak a peek of him whenever I want! Now I will have to settle for bringing lots of pictures!
I already listened to my iPod on the train this morning and the walk felt great! Who knows... maybe the 20 minute walk each way to and from the train station will knock a couple of pounds off of me!!!
