Month Prior to receiving a BFP?
What's the deal with the month before you receive a BFP? When you receive a BFP your in your 2 month already, right? So that month prior you are pregnant but you don't know....so what if you do your bad habits that month prior not knowing that you are pregnant (i.e drinking, smoking)? Is that really bad?

Re: Month Prior to receiving a BFP?
Honestly, I don't think its bad at all.
The blood supply isn't shared yet, the egg only implants itself and multiplies.. so I think its OK.

Technically you are OK up to your 6th week. I drank like a fish 2w & panicked when I got my BFP. My Dr told me that I should not be worried. She said the only thing that would worry her was recreational drugs, because some of them can stay in your system longer & have more adverse affects.

Also you arr not "really" pregnant that is purely a dating mechanism for the pregnancy-thats how they figure out how far along you are in reality a full term pregnany should be 38 weeks because they count the two weeks before you O aas part of the pregnancy when its physically impossible for that to happen

I agree..that and many girls find out at 4 weeks...I found out at 5...but I have a longer menstrual cycle usually so it took longer for me to realize I needed to test.

Re: Month Prior to receiving a BFP?
Wait a minute...I'm confused now.
So you're saying that if I BD and get pregnant now, I won't get a BFP for two months??
So when I BD'd last month I wouldn't know I was pregnant until this month??

if you BD and get pregnant now, you would get a BFP in a couple of weeks, at around the time AF was supposed to show up.
the length of a full term pregnancy is 38 weeks from ovulation, and 40 weeks from first day of the menstrual period that came before that ovulation.
hope that helps!

Ok...that's what I thought...but the original post said 2 months not 2 weeks. I was like "whoa am I missing something?"
Thanks for clearing that up.

I think what she meant was that most people find out when they miss AF which is when you are often at 4 weeks and some days - which is tech. the 2nd month.
