Spinning off-how much more money would it take per month to make you happy?

And I'm not talking about the amt to buy yourself a mansion or a yacht!

What would it take to be more comfortable that you could have your house, a car that you like and your necessities and some other non-necessity things and still be able to not worry about the bills?

Please let me know if you think this question is too ambiguous.

Re: Spinning off-how much more money would it take per month to make you happy?

my situation is different in that I don't really know ahead of time what we are going to have for month- yes i know my salary

but Jake's varies from $0 to alot

so I could plan better if he was on salary

or If made enough to cover everything and we could just bank his

so I guess to answer the question finally $2500 to $3K more a month for me personally would be perfect

I'd say between $500-$700 more a month would make things ALOT easier for us...

I think $1000 more a month - we would be able to pay our bills and afford a house without struggling.

Honestly, if we spent more wisely and carefully I think we'd make an excellent living and be very happy with our expense to income ratio.

im happy right now.

i do think that a few hundred dollars per monthn on my dh's salary would help HIM pay off his student loans easier and give him more disposable income to play with

I think if we had an extra $1000-$1500 a month I'd feel more financially secure.

Honestly, I'm happy with what we make now. But I wish DH was paid more fairly for what he does, but that's the price we pay for working in the non-profit field!

I would say about $2k for us. We have some improvements to make on both homes and it would be great to have that. Otherwise some things will just have to wait to get fixed.

Also taking some of that money and saving more to reach our financial goals. If we spent less we could do that too, but we've done a lot of cost cutting recently to accommodate both things already.

I'm happy right now. I think at this point in my life if I had extra disposable cash I would just put it right into our savings/house pot...instead of spending it on me.

if we bought a house here, we would need at least another $1500-$2K a month to live how we do now... meaning saving money for the future + paying bills. it's not like we live in the lap of luxury or buy extravagant things.

Re: Spinning off-how much more money would it take per month to make you happy?

Being that i am on my own. I rent a descent apartment, own an older truck but it run well so hey, and am able to put mojey in savings every month I would say that I would be happy with 500 extra a month to buy a designer bag or something nice that i normally wouldn't. But to be greedy i would say 2k more cause that would put me at enough to buy a primary home. (i am in the process of buying a summer/weekend home upstate)

other then that i am happy with what i got.

We always say that if we didn't have to pay our mortgage payment every month we'd be living GREAT! So I'd say about an extra $2K a month and we'd be thrilled!

Probably another $2k or so. I like shopping and I feel like I never get to splurge on myself anymore. I'd like to have some extra money for our "wants."

Quite honestly I am happy and comfortable right now just a little to keep adding to our savings because I believe you got to keep saving aggressively.

An extra 1-2k would be enough to help me relax a bit when the bills come in every month. I'd be able to have more disposable income and put more in savings.
