What's the best way to travel there? Plane, train?

I went there when I was in college and we and my friends drove but it was long. My parents years ago went via train (it is 12 hour train ride). They loved it. The hotel that they stayed at was right upstairs from the Amtrak station. They stayed at the Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth.
