last night i got a phone call from my friend in such a tone by the time he told me what was going on i was already out the door
last night my god daughter stopped breathing from yet another seizer. one that she had to get mouth to mouth she is 2 and every time she runs a fever she gets them. this was the worst one... it was then followed by a smaller one. I drove them to stony brook where she has been admitted. and so far they do not know the source of the fever. they are running more test and i ran home to change and get them some stuff thanks guys and please pray they find the source of these to get them under control. she has had 10 in the past 9 months ETA: thanaks to Ro for staying with Kryssy as I ran to help my goddaughter. She stayed with her till Kryssy's godmother could come get her.

Well she is home and resting. She still has a slight fever. The did the eeg which showed nothing. So they are just hoping to control them with motrin and tylanol. And if should one happen again they gave them a small dose of valum supository. I forgot them actual name of it. So they did not find a cause of it. But they did say she should grow out of them. If they do get worse then they will put her on stronger meds then. So it's a waiting game. I had such a long night and day with them and I am ready for bed. thanks for all the prayers. nighty nite all
that sounds horrible. Hopefully they will put the baby on anti-seizure meds if they havent already. And next time your friend should dial 911 right away. They need to get the baby to the hospital quickly and EMS has more skills to treat her en route if she needs it. Every second counts

yes you are very right but she would have ended in brookhaven who everytime before she was discharged with NOTHING being done... and i mean nothing. plus the dr. she is seeing for them wanted her there asap after the next one so they can do a eeg to try and get an idea of why they are happening. plus i am a nurses aid and know what to do.
