I had this said to me also early on when they were trying to figure out whether I was having a girl or a boy. People are such idiots. Just ignore them

I don't get people. My only comment to a pregnant woman, even before going thru this was "you look fantastic". Even if I was lieing, because sometimes they just need to hear it.
I don't know why people say such stupid things.

Sometimes I do not know what is wrong with people. I am sure you look great. Your co-worker is probably jealous. Like the other ladies said, just try your best to ignore the stupid comments.

I got so many rude comments at the beginning. I put on about 11 lbs in the first trimester and so many people told me i was going to get gigantic, I would be huge, blah blah blah. People are so rude. It really started to depress me. Well, now I am at 24 weeks and i haven't really put on any more weight than those initial 11 lbs and all i hear about is how small i am carrying - from the same people that told me I would be huge! I dont know why people think it's okay to comment on someone's weight/size just because they are pregnant. I would seriouslly consider saying something back like "well at least I have pregnancy as an excuse for why I am wide - what's yours????"

People think pregnant women are a license to lose all comment decency and say things that they would not normally say. When I was pregnant with my first DC I had a coworker walking behind me singing the fat albert theme song   It made me cry instanstly. People are just rude.
I also remember being in Old Navy and I heard a woman say to her teenage daughter god I hope that woman has her child soon I hurt just looking at her
