more stroller help please...
We are going w/ the double snap n go for the first few months. DH's parents got us the Graco Duo Gliider front-to-back stroller that we figured we'd use once they were out of the infant seats, or even on occasion in the beginning w/ the infant seats. DH and I were talking this morning and he was asking if we had any other stroller options if we decided to return the duo glider. The duo glider got great reviews, but I have heard some negative things, such as the weight, the lack of recline in one of the seats, etc.... I had thought of a lighter side by side stroller, but keep hearing that they are a pain to get through doors and down aisles at the store. Any suggestions on what stroller we can consider? I am open to any options!! Thanks.

Re: more stroller help please...
Personally, I have yet to see a perfect and affordable double stroller.
I alternate between the duoglider and my (used) side by side McClaren. Yesterday, I was in BRU with the side by side and yeah, it's a PITA trying to fit through the racks. DC's kept getting swept up into the clothes. It is good for when we go to the zoo, farm, because both can see everything going on. I find I'm using it more and more.
I know some complain about the weight of the duoglider but I'm used to lifting my dad's wheelchair into my trunk and no stroller is heavier than that so it doesn't bother me. The basket on the duoglider is much larger than my McClaren and the sun protection is better so, despite the size and weight, we'll be taking that one with us on vacation.
I'll be returning to work in Sept. so I just don't think it's worth it for me to get another stroller.

Re: more stroller help please...
I have the maclaren side by side and the baby jogger.
The baby jogger does not fit through any doors, but extremely easy to push. I use that when we are outdoors, the beach, zoo, parks, and for walks/runs.
The maclaren is mainly for the supermarket, malls and other indoor activities. I use that a lot in the winter. It is light...only 14lbs. It also fits perfectly in the trunk of our altima.
Have you tried the double combi? or the peg perego?

Re: more stroller help please...
I have the duoglider and it has its positives and negatives, but i have used it for almost a year and a half now. It's heavy, but I like it for use at the stores, supermarkets, etc. It has a large basket that can hold a lot, but the front seat hardly reclines so that can be a pain too. Also, as my boys have gotten older they kick the crap out of the kid who sits in front.
I use my jogging stroller for strolls around the neigborhood or if we are going to BBQs. Love that thing.....its big and bulky but the kids can both fall asleep in it and its side by side which is great for them.
I don't think they is a perfect double stroller out there (except the snap n go the first 6 months), but i love my duoglider even with all it's negatives.

the maclaren fits through all doors. sometimes just buy a hair line, but it does. Sometimes the wheels get in the way, but if they are straight it works.

Re: more stroller help please...
I have the jogger and love that! It is heavy to lift though and is bulky in the car. But so easy to push and gives the babies a lot of room!
The double Maclaren is light and more compact but there is less room and now that both babies are about 23 lbs, it is harder to push!
I also have the Peg Double Aria and I HATE that stroller! It is hard to steer and handles like crap in the city.
Since I live in the city, a great stroller is so important because we walk everywhere!
I loved the double snap & go! It was so great those first 5 months!

Is this the baby jogger you are all referring to?

Re: more stroller help please...
I had the q series one, but they don't sell them in the US anymore, but I have heard good things about this one. It is so easy to fold and push.

I like this one, but DH wants one with "bigger wheels". So I said "do you mean a jogger?" and he said yes. I am a runner and have said from day 1 that I am getting a running stroller at some point and he was insisting we can't use them for regular use and now he thinks we can So I'm looking at the bob strollers which I love - expensive, but we might even try to get one lightly used.
