More Stupid Comments
I wish there was a switch that could be flipped to engage people's brains before they open their mouths to speak.
Today I am wearing one of DH's sweaters. It is big and baggy and the sleeves are too long, but it is warm and comfortable. So, I'm in the hallway, and a client that I haven't seen in a while walks by and says hello and then tells me I need to exercise!!    I think I still look PG in this sweater not fat. So I look at her and say no amount of time in the gym is going to do anything about this and pat my stomach, I just have to wait another 8 weeks or so. She looked completely mortified!! 
Then about an hour or so later, a coworker says - my g*d you look huge in that sweater!! So I tell her it belongs to DH when the receptionist jumps in and asks if I'm comfortable. I tell her yes, and she goes off on the coworker about how comfort is the only priority when PG etc etc and really put her in her place.

It's one thing to make comments about a pg person being big. But when they didn't even know you were pregnant they're going to make comments??? Who does that??? I would never tell another woman that it looks like she's put on weight. Where are peoples heads?

Oh my god that is SO RUDE. No one should ever tell anyone they need exercise!
I still can not get over the things people say! In the first trimester I gained about 12 lbs and people said the rudest things. People think they can say whatever they want just because you are pregnant. I tell people that if you wouldnt say it to a non-pregnant person, please don't say it to me.

That client should have been mortified that she made the comment at all. Never mind feeling bad once she realized you were pg.

Exactly...well don't feel to bad I have a woman at work who tells me everyday how she thinks my body is gonna be big (as she stares at my stomach)!! and how important it is to exercise and she was like do you like vegetables? I was like YES, I LOVE them!! LOL
I get upset cause I'm not even showing yet. I've actually lost a pound since my last visit and am only 11 weeks
Granted she doesn't speak English well, but she knows what a big body means LOL

OMG!! She didn't realize you were pregnant!!! This doesn't even fall under the "you're pregnant so I have license to be an a$$" category like most stupid comments do... this woman is just a b*tch!!
And yay for your receptionist for sticking up for you.

Darlene, it must be something in the water where you work! OMG the nerve of some people. Good for the receptionist!
PS--I did that once also at about 8 months (wore DH's shirt) & one of the 8th grade kids said the same thing to me, Mrs. M you look huge. Ummmm thanks.
