Morning bottle question
When do you give the morning bottle (for those babies who sleep through the night)
Do you wait for DC to wake up and give it right away?
Do you wait a certain amount of time after DC wakes up and then give it?
or do you just give it the same time every day regardless of what time DC wakes up?
Thanks!

we wait for awhile until DS starts to get antsy and grumpy. He usually doesnt need a bottle when he first wakes up. He likes to play for a little while.

Same here. I give him his Zantac first thing and change him and let him play for 10-20 min to try and let the Zantaz settle before he has breakfast and then a bottle. He winds up with the bottle about 40 min after he waked up.

Re: Morning bottle question
Ds gets up, I change his diaper, he watches TV in our bed for about 10 minutes and then we get up and have breakfast- he gets his bottle afterwards. This is what we do every morning regardless of what time he gets up (which can be anywhere from 7:30am-9:00am)

Re: Morning bottle question
When he wakes up we go to the kitchen...I make my coffee, I feed the dog, do the morning bathroom routine and then he gets his bottle....
So its usually about 15 minutes or so after waking.

Me too. DD is 8 weeks. Sometimes she goes 8 hours without eating so she is starving. Lots of times she will eat at 9pm, fall asleep between 11-12 and then sleep until 5am.

Re: Morning bottle question
I am a really bad mom- she gets hers in her crib when she gets up at 5:30 am. She goes down at 7pm and is starving by 5:30 but I am not to anxious to get up yet She is 11 months and I know I have to break this habit soon

Re: Morning bottle question
Generally DS wakes up happy (rarely i she upset in the AM). Before I go into his room I put the bottle in the hot water, then I change his diaper and will chill on our bed with him. If he is fussing for the bottle right awway, I give it to him. Sometimes it will be 30-45 min before he fusses for the bottle.

Re: Morning bottle question
Abby wakes up the same time every day more or less. I give her breakfast first--around 8:30am--and then she gets a bottle 30min to 1hr. later. Both my girls were like this.

I do the same. DS is 1. Rather than milk as his first bottle, he gets 3oz of juice, 5oz of water.

Re: Morning bottle question
During the week I wake her at 6am and she has a bottle and then goes back to sleep. On the weekends, I wait for her to wake up, usually at 7 or 8 she wakes, and I'll give her a bottle shortly after that. She used to be starving when she woke up...now, she can play for a little while, so it's nice.
