mortgage preapproval
Can somebody please walk me through the process. What information do I need? How long does it take? Thank you!

mortgage preapproval
I didn't need much for the preapproval. I think it was pretty much our paystubs and they check your credit. I got approved in less than a day. They really ask for ALL of your information when they are issuing an actual mortgage approval. We were just approved for our mortgage and that took about 3 weeks.

Agree with above. They also asked us for savings bank statements.

as a buyer and a real estate agent- I want them to get all the information
credit
assets
pay stubs
tax returns
you want to feel confident in that fact that you will actually get the loan after you find the house you love

Every lender has different requirements for what they need for preapproval so I'd just ask your lender directly. Some require 1 month of statements, some 2 months, etc.
