Mortgage question
I know they ask for W2s and stuff when applying for a mortgage. I haven't really worked FT in a few years (student teaching, subbing and now only working pt due to DS). I want my name to be on the deed too so will that hurt us

Re: Mortgage question
It shouldn't hurt you as long as your husband makes enough to support your mortgage payments. Also if you have great credit, that helps a lot.

Re: Mortgage question
Even if you are not on the mortgage, you can still be on the deed. DH is not on our mortgage (he has a crappy credit score), but he will be on the title/deed.
If your DH makes enough to cover the mortgage, then you not working full tme will not affect the rate. If you have a high credit score that will help your rate. If DH does not make enough, you can do a no-doc mortgage (bank doesn't see pay stub, tax docs, etc), but then your rate will go up.
Good luck!

Re: Mortgage question
He does make enough to cover it and I have very good credit (we both do).

Re: Mortgage question
my DH is not on the mortgage - he's credit is awful and he works off the books.
