Mortgage rates....
I just spoke to the people who gave us our preapproval for NC. She said the rates were 6.125 yesterday and now they are at 6.25% today. They are expected to keep rising?

We talked to our mortgage broker today and they said rates have been going up all week!!!

Yeah, rates are moving up, and the reason to lock in sooner, rather than later.

they are going up right now, but could drop again... we have a rate lock until 2/28, but it looks like we are going to lose out on it because we haven't been able to find a house.
what can you do?

WOW! We got preapproved last week at 5.8! I guess we should have moved more quickly!

We locked in on Tuesday night and said if we didn't lock in it would go up tomorrow, YIKES!! We locked in that night!! He also said they have been going up, so is the market!
