Re: Morton's Neuroma
I had a cortisone shot for it about 6 years ago, and it hasnt really come back too badly since then. I am also very careful about what kind of shoes I wear- I can't wear anything that doesnt have some sort of a platform or cushioning in front.

Re: Morton's Neuroma
I really think I might have this.
The ball of my foot and extending into my toes it hurts like hell.
I'm going to an orthopedist tomorrow for a different problem and am going to mention it and see what he says.
I hope you can feel better soon!

Re: Morton's Neuroma
Every shoe hurts except sneakers and then after a while in any shoe I get cramping.
I have shoes I have bought and had to return them.
I saw an orthopedist and he diagnosed metatarsalgia or something but it's not that. I had a sprain on that foot a few months before and I think he was just pressing on the old injury.
I saw a podiatrist who wanted to operate.
I'm willing to go for the shot to see how it feels.

Re: Morton's Neuroma
I have a neuroma as well on the bottom of my foot. It is horrible pain when I wear flats. When I am running it does not bother me unless it is a really long run but it is not bad. But if I put on flats OMG I get like a sharp pain through my toes and foot. I went to my podiatrist who I have been seeing for years and then for an MRI and he told me I had a neuroma. I put these insoles called spanco in my sneakers but not much of a difference. When I get a cortizone shot it does go away for a few days but I think this is somthing I am going to have to just deal with. I don't care about not wearing flats. It is crazy though b/c I can wear 4 inch heels and feel fine!

wow, mostly for me it's in heels or boots but flats are ok. For me it's my foot being squeezed so I wear the widest thing I can find. I still get this crunching though when I step down.
Even barefoot can be painful.
I got a script for an orthotic but I never went.
