Morton's Neuroma
I just had a cortisone shot for this. Hope it works. I don't want surgery.
Anyone have either?

Re: Morton's Neuroma
Have had 1 in each foot, maybe 3 years apart. The cortisone took a few days to really kick in, though the sharpest pain subsided a bit that day. I was down to no pain after a few weeks, and back to running.
The key is your shoes. I now wear black new balance sneakers to work, just about every day. (podiatrist's orders!)
Hope you feel better soon!

Re: Morton's Neuroma
Ehhhh I wouldn't for a while. I did go on a date two weeks ago and wore 2-inch platform wedges and was a little sore. I made sure I wore my granny shoes the next day. If you commute, I'd wear the sneaks to the office and change in there... but for the first few weeks I'd def stay flat... it needs time for the inflammation to go down.
Hope you feel better soon!!!

Re: Morton's Neuroma
I had a cortisone shot about 8 years ago and haven't really had a problem since. You can definitely still wear heels, but I always try to wear shoes that have a bit of cushion or platform in front.

Re: Morton's Neuroma
Ok, the shot was on Wednesday. Still feel some pain and ugh..crunching...that's something I may have to live with.
Should I give it more time before I decide it was not effective? I see the doc again in 2 months..so maybe I really should give it more time.

Re: Morton's Neuroma
Those hurt like a b1tch. Ugh. I hope that cortizone kicks in soon.
For my first one, the shot was immediate relief. Site was very sore but able to walk fine. No nerve shooting pains.
For my next one I had the surgery & still feel like it was a mistake. I could have been my surgeon but my toe is really messed up. I can walk on it fine but it looks deformed with a huge lump of scar tissue.

Crunching??
IIRC, the pain went away within the first week or so after the shot, maybe after the first few days. Hope you feel better soon!
