Moved DS to His Own Room

We finally put DS in his own room two nights ago, and so far, he is doing well in there. No problems sleeping.

I miss him terribly though. I know it is time, and while we have a video monitor, it isn't the same as looking in his pack and play and seeing him right there. Better for him and us in the long run, but it's hard to not have him so close! Did anyone else feel like this?

It does get easier. I felt so sad not having Emma in our room, but she sleeps so much better and we don;t have to worry about going in our room and waking her up. It gets easier..trust me.

I know, I had a million excuses. First because I wanted to do it on the weekend in case he didn't sleep (and a few weekends didn't work out). Then because he was teething and miserable. I finally did it because he was teething and miserable Sunday night. I had put him down in his crib to nap, and he seemed fine there. I hated to pick him up and possibly wake him, so he stayed there all night. And he was fine--I'm the one who has a problem with it!

DH is okay--misses him a little but he kept saying he has to go in his room. We do get to talk again which we couldn't do before, and um, we can bd again at night! No wonder why DH wanted him out!Chat Icon

Thanks, I'm glad it does get easier.
