Moving on to injectables

Just got news from the RE that she wants me to start injectables, luckily they are covered under my insurance as long as they are for an iui cycle. I have three follicles (1 on the right, and 2 on the left) 10, 11, and 12 that have not grown in a week. They think the one on the right is a cyst.

I'm kinda bummed that the clomid/femara didn't work for me. I was a wreck this morning.

Should have the meds by the end of the week and they want me to start after my appointment on Saturday.

I'm nervous that I have to inject myself. I'm going to watch the videos when I get home. I want DH to watch them too but I don't think I would want him to inject me.

I'm sorry to hear that. I didn't respond to oral meds either. Chat Icon

I was so nervous about the injectables but they're really not that bad! The first time you do it is the worst, but after that it's much easier!

Moving on to injectables

It's more mental than anything. The injectables are super easy.

Injectables are not as bad they seem. The first night took me 20 minutes to do the injection - after that it took 20 seconds!

Injectables are way easier than you think! The needles are sooooo think that you will barely feel it. I never thought I'd be able to inject myself, but it was really no big deal. The anticipation is worse than the reality. Trust me!

They are so easy! (Except if you are sleep injecting - see my Gonal post lol) I only had one follie on clomid, but have responded fabulously to injectables. Good luck!

Re: Moving on to injectables

My cycles are really really long I am currently on day 46. Does anyone have experience with the injectables shortening a longer cycle?

You stim starting cd3 typically, and that lasts about 8-15 ish days depending on your response, then you trigger. So it should be MUCH shorter

That sounds great! It gets so fustrating and expensive going to the RE 2x a week for 2 months with no results!

I hear that... But with stimming you go every two days, then every other day, then every day until trigger! Lol. It's constant monitoring, at least in my experience. But it has been best decision. I have 7 mature ones right now!

I get that, but I feel better paying that much knowing I will get faster results.
