Moving things along...
Yesterday, I felt cramps - they were a bit more intense than the light cramps I was experiencing all week (which I secretly prayed were implantation cramps or another sign of PG). Since TTC, I have come to know my body well enough to be able to distinguish between achy and FULL ON AF cramps. This was the real deal.
So I told DH, that despite the fact that I usually dont POAS, that this time I wanted to even though I was to get a blood test at my doctor (which I did) today. My reason was that I wanted to get it out of my system. I needed to be clearheaded at today's office visit. I tested this morning and got a BFN as I thought I would - handling it rather well and planning a "course of action" so to speak.
After the nurse drew the bloods, I took much of the TTC ladies advice and ask the doctor about various diagnostics. I asked him about a CD3 test and he said that it was not necessary for me based on previous bloodwork and hormone levels. All is well in that department.
I also looked at him point blank and said "So when are we going to test my tubes?" He smiled and said that he usually does AI for three cycles and then sends patients for an HSG, but since he knows that DH and I (mainly me) are anxious, based on the results of today's bloodwork, he will send you for an HSG. This was our second shot.
I basically told him that I am tired of crying everyday. I didnt want the beginning of my marriage to be tested this way and I think he understood. I am meant to have children, not meant to be sad. None of us are.
So in my gut, I am 99.99999999% sure that I am going to get AF tomorrow - day 28. Either way, I will get more definitive answers from the doctor in regard to getting an Rx for and HSG. He said that he would tell me exactly when to get it and whether or not we should do AI or if IUI would be better.
So this su cks on one level, but this whole process has taught be that I am not being neurotic and nuts, but proactive making sure I advocate for what I need to keep me in the right track.
Then I went to the gym to work out through my cramps. I thought I was going to b*tch slap the bimbo in front of me who thinks its cute to wear ultra-low-rise workout pants, chat on a cell phone and walk on a treadmill at the same time. Who are these people? Do we need them? (But I digress)
Thank you all for your various suggestions and continued support.
BFPs and to all!

first of all, i think you should have b*tch slapped the treadmill lady
but seriously... i am so, so sorry that this does not seem to be your month . but on the other hand, i'm glad that you are advocating for yourself and pushing this process forward.
you ARE meant to have children and i KNOW your time will come... but that doesn't make the waiting any easier. hopefully getting the HSG will bring you a step closer to getting the answers that you need and deserve.

Re: Moving things along...
Thanks ladies. I think a bit of it has to do with impatience. I will be the first to admit that. If I were ten years younger, there would be no way I would be this anxious. But that is what I have to deal with.
Unfortunately, by the nature of my work, I know all too well the risks involved in having a child as an older mother - the risks to the mother AND the child and I do have a family history of such risks. YES I know that many women my age and older have healthy children and it is more than likely I will be one of those women. But in my case, knowledge isn't always power, knowledge can scare the crap out of you.
Ironically, my cramps subsided for now. Who do I talk to about this? Can the AF monster be b*tch slapped in a two-for-one with the treadmill lady?

I am totally with you - my impatience is totally due to the fact that I feel I'm going to be the oldest mom... much to you!!!

Hang in there This WILL happen for you - it's not an IF, it's a WHEN. that it's soon. I know how you feel about the test on your marriage, and the crying - it's a hard journey - and it does SU CK - but I do believe we're tested, only if we can handle it - and you can.

I think I am doing better than I thought, but it comes in stages. As for DH, he is being a trouper. We have had other tests in our relationship that were also very challenging even BEFORE we were married and he was always there with hugs. I am sure this isn't easy on him either. Lately, he has been showing more Daddy-like behaviors around kids and it makes me very happy. We are both ready for this.

It is my pleasure and honor to be able to stand by, support and help anyone who needs it. It is the true meaning of these boards to be able to reach out and give back.
I am doing what I can to keep my head straight between bouts of hysteria. It isnt easy, but one day , I have to believe, that the rewards will be worth it - to all of us.

Leslie darling you are amazing...you truly are. Your tremendous strength and optimistic attitude is truly an inspiration to a lot of ladies on here! I pray for you and Ed all the time and I truly believe that you guys are ready for this miracle more than anybody I know (you and Anita )! Your time will be here very shortly!
With that being said, I think its time you and Ed had some drunken shenanigans this cycle...you know it worked for some people

Re: Moving things along...
Leslie, your attitude is amazing!!! I truly believe that every month your body is working toward being a mommy.
I think Sylvia has a point above. Maybe you need a night of drunken teenage sex!!! You know what I went through to TTC and I was giving up hope. Then I had my company Christmas party. Needless to say, after much wine and ending the night with 5 shots with the comapny VP and his wife, here I am at 17 weeks!!!! I wasn't thinking too much about the TTC aspect that night.
Maybe you can take Ed out for a romp in the car!!!!!!!

Ah if only I was a drinker. I just don't like the stuff. Other mood altering substances will end my marriage!

It is getting hard, but we will make it. Ed needs someone to take to a football game because I sure as heck (not the word I am REALLY thinking of) won't. The thing that stinks as that it is really out of my hands on a day to day basis. Everything is done in steps - always a procedure. There is no one answer that will make this easier.

Re: Moving things along...
I totally agree...you should have b*tchslapped the treadmill chick! If for no other reason but to make yourself feel better and for all of us to live vicariously through you.
I'm praying for you every day, but I think you know that already. I think it may be time for another shopping trip so let me know when you may be up for it. It is just the type of thing that can help you be distracted, or if not at least amused.
Thinking of you every day!
