MRI w/ sedation?
Has anyones child had one done? This might be a dumb question, but is the sedation done with an IV? Did they give the child anything prior to the IV to calm them? I know Nicholas had something when he had his t&a's out that made him loopy so he couldn't feel the IV. Just wondering how this procedure works since he's very terrified of needles. TIA

When my sister was 4 years old she had a brain MRI with sedation and she was given some sort of a tranquilizer (makes them drunk-like) before the IV was inserted.
ETA: My mom just told me that the nurses drop the tranquilizer in a juice, which causes them to get sleepy.
