Hi,
I also have two copies of the MTHFR gene...but one of the A and one of the C gene...so I am considered compound heterozygous. Bottom line, I think with two copies of the C mutation, that you will definitely be put on either Lovenox or heparin should you become pregnant. Some doctors might even start you off earlier than when you get an actual BFP. I am on baby aspirin and Folgard/Metanax which contains extra folic acid and Vitamins B6 and B12 which is what many of us with MTHFR are on...but not Lovenox or heparin. Also..I was told that I might want tio switch to a pre-natal that has a more bio-available form of folic acid such as Neevo.
You might want to consider joining the MTHFR group on Yahoo...lots of information there and they can pretty much answer all of your questions.

Hi..I don't think most think Lovenox is needed for the mutation that you and I have...which is compound heterozygous. The original poster is homozygous for the C copy which is a bit more serious. My Dr. barely thought I needed baby aspirin. There are some that in an excercise of caution take Lovenox with our mutation though. I chose not to as my homocysteine levels are normal.
You might want to check out that MTHFR group...I will say that it is one of the few places I have seen a few people advocate for Lovenox/heparin for people with compound hetero MTHFR.
