MTHFR Gene Mutation.....PLEASE HELP!!!
Has anyone ever heard of the MTHFR Gene mutation? If so, what do you know about it? medications for it? etc?>??? I was told that that could possibly be the reason for the miscarriages and that the RE may put me on some blood thinners or have me take more b-12 vitamins or folic acid. I'm already taking more folic acid in addition to my pre-natal even though I wasn't told yet. I guess it couldn't hurt right?
Please help!

I was just diagnosed with this about 2 weeks ago. Had my first consult w/a perinatologist today who recommended baby aspirin and a higher dosage of folic acid. I'll be going for a second opinion soon to see if they say I need injectables.

I was diagnosed with this, but 2 OB's said it had nothing to do with my m/c. I am on RX of Folgard (folic acid). neither dr. put me on anything else.
