Mucus Plug question

How long do you usually go into labor after losing your mucus plug? I went into early labor last week, and I am on medication to stop the contractions. Well this morning I lost my mucus plug, so I am wondering about how much time I may have left? Thanks!

Re: Mucus Plug question

I lost mine at about midnight.

My mom said to get ready, I had read though that it could be a week later that you can go into labor after losing it so I wasnt worried.

Next morning I woke up at around 10 and my water had broken. Off to the hospital I went.

Re: Mucus Plug question

I lost mine right before I headed to the hospital! I pretty much started getting contractions right after I lost it. Good luck!!!!! Chat Icon
