Munire Furniture Question- edited to add a question-

hey everyone- how are you?

i was hoping you guys could help me- we are in the process of choosing baby furniture and we both like a set by Munire, particularly the Majestic line.

do any of you have munire furniture? are you happy with it?

please let me know- thank you!!

edited to add: i know this is a nervy question, but would you mind telling me how much your sets cost?

at behrs, the whole set was roughly 3300 with tax delivery and setup.... just want to know if that sounds about right

Re: Munire Furniture Question-

yes, very happy...except that my son thought he was a hamster and chewed up the rails of the crib - nothing to do with the make of the furniture though

Me too! We almost went with the majestic but got the savoy instead. I was very torn, but happy with our choice. My sister has Munire too and loves it also.

We have the Munire Majestic collection in Espresso and are very happy with it. The quality is great and the drawers slide so nicely. We haven't yet converted the crib, as DS is only 4.5 months, but so far it's holding up very well.

Re: Munire Furniture Question-

We bought my son Munire furniture when he was 6 months old. He is now 5 and we converted the bed into a full size. The quality is great - it still looks brand new:)

same here. The only thing I would recommend, as I do not know when you are due, is that it took a long time for the furniture to all come in (some pieces came in faster than others). We ordered in July thinking that since I was due the first week of November we had plenty of time....needless to say, i delivered early (october 13) and our furniture wasnt ready for two weeks after DS was born

Re: Munire Furniture Question- edited to add a question-

i have the bristol crib and dresser from munire. cost between 1 and 2k, i can't remember correctly. the crib is beautiful, but the rails are too big and bulky. if i had to do it over again, i would've gotten something less expensive, but just as useful. i got mine at behr's too.

I think their furniture is definitely sturdy. The only thing is we bought the Munire furniture in white for my DS, and if I was to do it again I would definitely buy it in a natural would color. I feel like the white chips so easy.

I have the essex line for DD#2. I got it at Behrs on sale. I love it. I also have a Pali set that I love that I go there as well. I have no complaints at all about it! I have the crib, tall dresser and the long 6 draw dresser. What are you getting for the 3300? I think the crib for us was about $399 (a little less after the 10% off they gave us) - all together I think it was about $1500 including delivery, set up, and conversion kit - maybe a little less. We bought the set on sale (not the floor model though) and b.c we bought on a 3 day weekend they were having a sale and I think we got something like 10% or 15% additional off.

Re: Munire Furniture Question- edited to add a question-

We have the Munire Newport and love it. I can't remember what it cost (both sets of grandparents kicked in to buy it), but I think it was about $1700 with tax/delivery/setup. We purchased the "Olde World" (non-convertible) crib, 1 nightstand, the 6 drawer dresser & a mattress from Behrs.

If you buy from Behrs there are 2 things that I'd recommend, though: 1) don't get their foam mattress - I've had a hard time finding sheets that are deep enough to fit it and 2) if they assemble the crib for you check the screws! My dh just lowered our mattress down a notch this week and noticed TONS of loose screws on the crib that had only been tightened halfway - I'm really annoyed with Behrs about that Chat Icon
