my 36 week appt.
Doctor wont start my internals until next week but she put me on the monitor for nonstress tests and i had 2 contractions (didn't feel them) although i've been feeling "off" lately - could be change of weather. She said and i knew I am still VERY swollen. Last week i had lost 4.5 lbs, this week i gained back 4?? i give up. My sugar levels are good and the baby was active. Doc did say it feels like a 7lb baby already. She said we'll see how the next 2 weeks go but that i won't be going to 40 weeks because of the size. She also wants me to return to her office now 2x per week - i go again tomorrow to be on the monitor again. I guess they are watching us extra closely due to the diabetes and how swollen I've been??? They're afraid my pressure will go up. I get a sono again on Tuesday.
I am SO afraid of a csection
meanwhile i'm freaking out because i don't feel ready!!! I need to wash my living room windows today

Re: my 36 week appt.
I have Gestational diabetes and wondering if your doctor said they are going to induce or just do a C-section. My due date is friday and she is over 8lbs, but my cervix isnt ready as of last monday and he doesnt want to induce b/c of the GD in fear that it would end up in c-section that he doesnt want to do? I just wondering what your doctor is telling you, if inducing is ok ??

You'll be fine. Apparently I am having a big baby too- and it's scary! But my doc made a good point. Whether you are having a 5 lb baby or a 9lb baby, its still going to hurt! I hope I don't have to have a C-section either!

my doc mentioned both. I asked if she thought i'd go to 40 weeks and she said no, that we may have to discuss induction OR a csection. i think it will depend on how i'm progressing and the baby's size at the next sono next week?? I know people who have had vaginal deliveries with GD so i'm hopeful

Thanks for the update. I was just wondering about you! I have to go for all those tests every week now, too. It's not bad and you will get good updates on the status of your baby!

The last thing you need is to wash your living room windows. Get someone else to do it and you try to relax

Try your best to hang in there. Don't work to hard washing your windows. I totally understand the need to have a clean house before the bay comes, but you need your rest.
