How long has it been? Just curious. If your baby is formula fed sometimes it can take 2 days before they go.

I would add a teaspoon of prune juice to Johnnys bottles (Every other bottle) and that helped keep everythign regular.

Hmmm...usually from what i hear BF infants have an easier time going, you are prob going to get one massive explosion soon, lol..

Prune juice was recommended to me by my ped. It was only 1 teaspoon here and there, enough to keep him regular. It never hurt his belly and never gave him diarrhea...some people will say to try pear juice before prune b/c its gentler, but prune did the trick for us.

Good luck!

ps-I started with the prune at 2weeks...it was fine..

I spoke with peds and they just told me to try these 3 things and if nothing bring her in tomorrow.. Im going to wait on the prune juice, im afraid if she has a reaction. The poor thing looks very uncomfortable as it is.

Re: My 3wk old, hasnt had bowl movement??

it used to happen to DD all the time, we would lay her on her back, with no diaper and push her legs up a little bit to her chest and DH would rub her belly downwards...
somehow it would work everytime.

Re: My 3wk old, hasnt had bowl movement??

It's normal and common for bf'd babies not to go for daysChat Icon and be comfy with it.

My DD used to go every 4-5 days who was bf'd. My doc didn't want her to go longer than 5 days, but sure enough just as I about to give her some pear juice, out it would come on day 5.

I've prob given her 1 ounce pear to one ounce water a few times.

After giving her the juice i would have a mess on my hands sometimes as little as 2 hours, some times 8-10 hours later.
