My 8 month old stopped STTN...what gives?

He was doing so well for weeks, sleeping from 8:30-6:00. He has an ear infection/fever last week and hasn't slept thru since. He's actually waking 3-4x a night. He doesn't look to eat, as soon as we pick him up he falls right back to sleep. I don't think I can handle CIO since we are in the same bedroom.

Could it be his teeth?

could totally be the teeth. DS was F**** miserable and waking a few times during the nite when he was cutting teeth. He has 2 top and bottom now, but teething bad towards the back now. Last week there was one nite where he was up like every 2 hours screaming.

Do you use any teething gels? The hylands works well for us. and at the worst times during the nite, i've rubbed a tiny bit of whiskey back there.

Could be teething or he is about to hit a milestone. We did cio really well with him in the bedroom. We took turns sleeping on the couch every other night. I was all better in a few nights. But, for some reason I can't do it now that he is older. I bring him to bed all the timeChat Icon

As other posters said... at that age my guess is teeth. We were in teething he** when Mason got his top teeth.

When they came thru we had to do CIO b/c he was training us to wake up and soothe him. He had to learn again to soothe himself and it worked

Are you sure the ear infection is gone?? If so then he may just be used to waking up now since he was sick? Or..like others said..could be teeth. i'd try meds and see if that helps.. if so.. then you know he's waking from pain. KWIM.
good luck!

Hmmm...probably right on the teething, he doesn't wake up screaming or even crying...just fussing & once we pick him up he's fine. He only has one tooth on the bottom, but I can see another trying to come thru.

I was bringing him into bed last week when he was sick, cause I needed to sleep. I hope I didn't start a bad habit & that's what he is looking for. I haven't done it in 4 nights now.

Ugh this sux!

He's still on antibiotics until Saturday, but hasn't had a fever in almost a week. I"m going to try Motrin & baby oragel tonight before bed.
Thanks
