my almost 4 mo old won't stop crying
Hi Ladies-
I could really use some advice. My one twin has been miserable this past week. He will be 4 months next week. He was sleeping from like 9-5 and now he is up constantly and crying. I try not to just feed him but after an hour of constant crying after trying tylenol (he is teething too), and mylcon, rocking, everything, I finally feed him and he is ok for a little while. I honestly am not srue what else to do for him. Seems like suddenly when he is awake, he is upset.
Is this normal? A growth spurt, maybe? He seems to be eating more. I am sure some is related to teething. I am just at a loss. I feel so bad for him. Not even sure if I should take him to he pediatrician or not.

is he having normal bowel movements? fever? possibly an ear infection?
if its a sudden onset and NOTHING helps, I would call the ped.

watch him to see if he's grabbing at his ear. could be an ear thing or ear could hurt from teething. my 4mo just went thru that. fever? i'm assuming no. if it's really bad i'd call ped.

He isn't having fevers and he definately isn't pulling at his ears. I really don't think it is because he is sick.

If it lasts more than a day, Id get to the ped.
But DS was like this for 10 hours straight, didn't sleep, wouldn't drink as much, then finally took a whole bottle passed out and woke up with his first tooth poking out. Next day was back to normal.

Is it when he's lying in a certain position? My daughter did this and was arching her body from reflux

i would take him. we took DS to the ped last friday for a cough and found out he has an ear infection. sometimes there are no signs other than crying and them not acting like themselves ...
could also be hunger - growth spurt
gas
teething
reflux
check all fingers and toes for hair!
