My birth Story
I was contemplating wether to write one due to the circumstances.
It was Sunday night around 10pm and I was on the fetal monitor at only 32 weeks 4 days along. I was having contractions every 5 minutes-BIG ones. the monitor would go from 10-56. The nurse monitored me for about 1 hour and sent my strip downstairs to the ER OB on duty who i guess said to bring me downstairs to L&D. I was a little panicked as my doctor had said NOT to go into labor 8/5 as he was going to the Hamptons.
All i remember is three nurses running in my room. Stuff was unplugged and my bed was moving like you see on TV. Surprisingly when I got downstairs I saw my OB. He had just returned from the hamptons and was on his way home when he'd gotten the call. He gave me a look and said-"You are so lucky young lady". Then I was placed in a L&D room where they tried to get a IV line in me 14 times-I had gained about 15-20lbs of fluid in a little over 8 days so I was puffy as can be. One of the times the anesthesiologist tried my ANKLE-OUCH. They were about to try my NECK when the surgeon who had put the infusaport in my chest for nutrition arrived and said they could use that line. The anesthesiologist was reluctant but agreed only if the surgeon stayed-he did thank Goodness. Next stop was the OR where I got my Epidural-Not fun but not the most painful either.
All I remember from then on is them asking me if I was feeling warm and lost of tugging then at 12:43 DH and I heard a beautiful scream. It was our little girl. They bought her over so I could give her a kiss and I was in tears becuase I knew she was breathing on her own if they stopped for a snuggle.
Taylor Chase weighed 3lbs 15 OZ and was 17 3/4 inches long with a head full of curly hair.
Since she was so tiny she went to NICU where she has been for the past few days. Since then she has gained and is 4lbs 5oz as of yesterday. Dont know when she will be coming home but it will be closer to her due date so maybe another 2 weeks or at most 4. Either way I love her and am glad she is safe. After all I have gone through I think God knows I would finally break if anything ever happened to her.

Ann I usually don't read the birth stories b/c I don't want to scare myself before the day gets here, but after following your story for months, I couldn't bypass this post.
Congrats on finally bringing your baby girl into the world. I hope she comes home sooner rather than later, and that mommy continues to heal and be well!!
