My blood sugar
ugh.
i was borderline diabetic with DD- i never had to take insulin but was able to control my blood sugar w/ diet.. eating every few hours and staying away from white flour & sugar.
Oh a whim- I took my blood sugar yesterday & this morning and they've been high- i guess I have to watch still.
I've been eating healthy and exercising- but I've been eating some dark chocolate- so I guess I can't have any sugar again....
Oh well- at least I know, right? I have to go to the doctor in March or April to get another blood sugar test as a follow up on the GD.

i took it again- and it was high again- in the 140s and I haven't eaten for a few hours- ugh.

I had GD too, I tested about 3 weeks pp and my levels were fine...I quickly put that thing away and never checked since.

FYI:
They said I was fine after I had Damien and had GD. I never followed up and ignored symptoms and am now a diabetic. If you are having warning signs please get them checked!!!

One ob in my practice told me to throw my tester away and never test - there was no need. I didn't because I didn't want to know. I just wanted to eat normally for a bit.
But at 6 weeks my regular ob said I should take 2 hour GD test and I passed - no issues. Maybe it is still too soon so aren't regulated yet??? are you taking a 2 or 3 hour soon? I wouldn't get crazy until either you talk to your ob or take sugar test.

i am testing regularly to make sure my sugars are level.
my doc wants me to come back in April for a test- which I will do.

Maybe it is still too soon so aren't regulated yet??? are you taking a 2 or 3 hour soon? I wouldn't get crazy until either you talk to your ob or take sugar test.
It should go back to normal right after you deliver with GD. I would call your OB and let her know you are still testing high.

Hey!!! which machine do you have? I have the freestyle and those strips are for invitro use only, so even if I did test now it would not be accurate. my dr said to eat normal again, so I have been and at my 6 week appt which is feb first he is sending me to have my sugar tested. I pray its ok, I do NOT want to do that insulin again. ugh
I hope yours is ok
