my boobs are killing me!
So I weaned Luca off the boob and was down to one feeding a day before stopping altogether last Wednesday. My boobs have been a little sore, but nothing major and they weren't leaking at all. All of a sudden they really started hurting today and if I don't wear an extremely tight sports bra they will leak.
What the heck?! Shouldn't they be drying up by now? How much longer do you think this will go on for?

That happened to me too when I weaned Alex... be careful, you don't want to get an infection. Do you have a pump? If it's really bad, I'd pump for literally just 10 seconds...

I agree, I would pump a little to get some of the milk out, I had to do that for a few days when I was weaning, then it went away.

I may just try to express some in the shower just for comfort. I'm worried if I pump, which I stopped doing at the begining of the weaning precess over a month ago, that my body will get the wrong idea.

Ouch, I remember that. Soon, it will happen soon, pump a bit if you have to, but it will all be over soon!

So after the engorgement set it, how long did it take to go away? I really thought I was in the clear.

It took me like 2 weeks to be totaly gone. It hurt like crazy, I remember it was soooo painful.

I called the midwife from my Dr's office, do you think they may presribe me a pill? I'm dying over here. I can barely hold DS, my chest hurts so much. And the fact that I have to bounce around and teach dance is like pure torture!
