My boy was born 8/18!!!
Long labor and uncomfortable delivery. My water broke @ 8:30pm and we went to the hosptial since I tested pisitive with my first born and they wanted me on antibiotics for preventative measures. Hard labor from 1am-6am, by 7am I was out of my mind, th enurse checked me and I was 8 cm, missed tghe epidural and let me just leave it at that! You ladies who elect for natural childbirth are my new heros! All I have to say ladies is advocate for yourselves when you need pain meds, I didn't advocate enough and in return, Cain was born wth no pain meds (OUCH!!!!!!!!!), I don't want to go into any details because Mommies-to-be don't need to hear the gory details, all said and done, I am in love once again with my little boy, it is amazing how quick you fall in love with your children. I will post pcitures soon, right now I'm exhausted!!

Congrats! Can't wait to announce my baby's birth!! You are amazing for going natural!
By the way...how'd you miss the epidural? My DR. told me I could get one at any time UNLESS the head was coming out! Then he said it would be too late!

congrats!!!! I hear you about the no pain med my daughter was born at home ---i delivered her myself i didnt make it to the hospital in time.....talk about pain wooaahhhhh!!!!!!

my personal opinion is that I was not checked on enough and before you know it, I was dialated to 8 and the anesthesiologist would of never made it befire I hit 10 cm, so I had to start pushing, and believe me, I wanted ot push, I was not waiting for an epidural. It is amazing how you forget the pain though, if you would of asked me Thurs night if I wanted another baby, I would of said NO WAY< now I am at a differnt point, the pain is almost forgotten about, it is sooooo very worth it.

Congrats to you!!!! And yes, best you leave out those details on the pain of natural birth!!!!!!!!!!  Glad to hear though that everything went well and both you and your son are healthy!! Enjoy him!!!

Aww he is so cute! Congrats and good work Mommy. Sorry the labor was so bad, but thanks for the advice. This is my first time go around, so I will keep that epidural in mind. Best wishes with your little one.
