I never heard of the brestfriend pillow. So I googled. I think if you have that and it works you don't need a Boppy.

That is what I figured. I did not know if I need the boppy for other things aside from breast feeding (like tummy time, taking pics, etc)

I will post a pic of the brest friend pillow so everyone knows what I am talking about. Chat Icon

Yes, you'll love having both! My brest friend is great in the beginning when you have a floppy baby and need to get the position just right. The boppy is more comfy cozy when they get a big bigger or if you are planning to just let them snooze on you following a feeding.

Plus when the baby starts to sit up and all that fun stuff the boppy is great as a safety featureChat Icon

I had both. I found the Boppy useful for sitting up, pictures, etc. Also not sure if the Brest Friend has velcro but it was annoying to take off because the baby wakes up when they hear the velcro being opened.

I think they just came out with my brest friend in 2005, not sure though...I would get both! I loved the boppy.

I don't think I'd bother with the 2. My friend has the Brest Friend and I have the Boppy (and loved it) and I think they're interchangeable. I think one of them will end up collecting dust.

Anyway, definitely a thumbs up for whichever you choose...great products!
