My cat really needs a home
I have posted this before in the past, and am unfortunately posting again.
I got a long haired cat 2 years ago. Ever since then I have been very sick. I break out in hives when I am around him and have very bad allergies. I am allergic to most allergy medicines (they have the reverse reaction on me and my heart races). All I can take is benadryl. I have tried living my life on benadryl and I can't do it. It makes me a zombie. We finally found a way to both live in the house together - He goes outside during the day and at night he sleeps in a spare bedroom that I never go in. The backdoor is in that bedroom so he never walks through the rest of the hosue. It is really sad, but it is the only way it works.
Trust me, I have tried allergy shots, medicine, special shampoos for him.. the works. Well.. now I am pregnant and we need that spare bedroom. My allergies are 10x worse too...
He has nowhere to go except outside and I can not possibly make him live out there. DH and I have been calling places all over Long Island trying to find him a home. If you know anyone that might be interested or a shelter that would take him please FM me... This is unfortunately the last resort  It breaks my heart to know he has to go. We have another cat as well - but I believe my parents are going to take him.
His name is Snoop.. He is about 3 years old. He is often shy and very very docile. He gest along with other animals (even dogs). He really is a good cat.

are you on long island? there is a new private shelter called allthewayhomerescue.com you can try there. if you have a facebook you should post his pic on there and see if anyone wants him or craigslist he is so cute i wish i could take him but i cant. i hope you find a good home for him

I posted him on facebook and craigslist recently removed the pet section! I have a few people I know asking around as well. Thanks for the info. I will look into that!

He not really a snuggler .. He is very independent. He takes a little while to open up to people.. so at first he will probably hide. Once he comse out of his shell he has such a cute funny personality.
He travels fine in the car in his travel case.. the ocassional cry but hes ok. He is a very calm cat.

He's so beautiful!!!!  I just lost my 2 cats in a very short time span of 3 months.... one was 19 and the other 17 1/2. I promised myself I wouldn't do this again to adopt another one beacause of all the pain I'm in right now, but your boy's got me thinking  He's awfully cute

We kind of tried that. For a while DH was taking him to get groomed constantly and was getting haircuts (i guess?) I dont know.. but he would come back with short hair. It didnt work. But then again I have a short haired cat as well that I am allergic to. My parents are probably going to take him thats why Im not posting about 2 cats that need to go.
I always knew i was allergic to cats too but they didnt have homes back when I took them so I just felt awful and took them... turns out it was a really bad idea. Also my allergies were never this bad.. they got worse as i got older and now that im preggers they are HORRIBLE!
and yes.. isnt that face a killer. It makes me cry when I see him. He always says hi at the front door when I get home from work and I swear im depressed the rest of the night. I just want to hug him.

How sweet would that be of you...heal her pain, heal your pain and give this baby a loving home. That would be wonderful......and very healing for both of you I bet.
