My child doesnt EAT!!!
My 4.5yr old eats MAYBE 1 meal (small) a day...
He has never ever ever been a big eater... never nursed well, never finished a bottle, never ate babyfood...some things never change.
I know, he'll eat when he is hungry, and all the stuff that goes along with it, but Im starting to be concerned that he doesnt even know hunger anymore- since his body is so use to not eating.
He is healthy, growing, and although in the low end of the percentile (10%), he continues to gain weight/grow.
Im most concerned about lack of nutrition...Im so bad at the vitamin thing (I know, thats awful) and then he eats so little...
He never proclaims to not like something... so I dont believe that he is picky, rather that he just doesnt like to eat...
When he does eat, he seems to focus more on nuts, fruits and veggies (which is great!!!) really doesnt seem into meat- at all!!!
He does like "treats" but prefers a granola bar or a piece of fruit...So Im looking for some suggestions on foods/reciepes that really incorporates these foods - in hopes I could get him to eat a little bit more..
Ive tried the pedisure drinks, and he hates them.... is there any kinda reciepe that I can make myself- that will give him the same nutrional value???
TIA

Re: My child doesnt EAT!!!
Will he drink a smoothie? I make them with fresh fruit, yogurt, and carnation instant breakfast, or you can use ovaltine.

Yep- he would def. drink a smoothie!!!
How do you make it???
Is it something I can freeze..???
Im out the door, with both children @ 6am during the week (with no help in the am to get ready) so- im unable to make anything in the morning... So I need stuff I can make on the weekends and then freeze.
TIA

It's easy. Fresh fruit or you can buy frozen. I usually use strawberries, blueberries, or bananas, or any combo of them. 1/2-whole cup.
yogurt- any type, or plain. maybe 1/2 cup.
1/2 to 1 whole Carnation IB.
Milk- 1/2 cup-whole or more, depending on how thick you like it, and some ice.
I've never frozen it, you probably can. You can make it the night before and put the whole blender piece in the fridge, and just throw it on the base for a minute in the morning. Sometimes it seperates a little, so you need to mix it well before you serve it.

I also put anything I can into a muffin. 1/2 cup of veggie, and/or apple sauce, or blueberries,etc... and add chocolate chips to any muffin mix. I usually use Dr. Oetker's carrot muffin mix. My son loves them, and they freeze well.

smoothie's with yogurt and fruit and either sneek in pediasure maybe the strawberry one or powder tasteless toddler formula. try mixing the pediasure with some ice or icecream or fruit as a smoothie on it's own too. avocados, bananas and fish are also great.
