My dad and I had lunch at Bobby's Burger Palace
So I took my Dad to lunch today and he wanted to try American Roadside Burgers in Smithtown but it was closed...so we went to Bobby's Burger Palace instead.
OK, you order at the counter and take a number and sit at table or counter. Seating is difficult if it's busy or you have a large group. We were fine.
The food took about 15 minutes. Dad got the Santa Fe burger with pickled jalapenos, cheese and crushed blue corn chips. I got the Dallas burger with BBQ sauce, cole slaw, monterey jack and pickles. They were awesome!!!! Mine was sweet, spicy and crunchy! We split onion rings (they are soooo ginormous you only get like 5) and crinkle cut fries, which I normally don't care for....but they were soooooo good. Crispy and slightly salty with an awesome fry sauce on the side. We tried all the difference sauces they have on the counter; Chipotle ketchup, burger sauce, and jalapeno sauce.
It was really yummy and I can't wait to go back...plus Dad and I got some much needed bonding time too

Hubs and I went there Sunday and we liked it a lot!
The burgers were REALLY good, the onion rings delicious and the shakes were awesome!! He thought the fries were ok, but I liked them a lot. He doesn't believe that the potato chips are homemade  We already know what we're getting when we go back!
The only bad thing was the seating... not really bad, just different. I didn't like not knowing about that ahead of time.

DH and I tried it and were not impressed.
$35 for two people to eat burgers and share a fry is a little ridiculous IMO. Plus, they use friggin Martin's Potato Rolls...I just thought they were way overpriced for what we got.

LOL we asked about the potato chips and they're not homemade, they just heat up bagged chips. They are still yummy tho!!

LOL we asked about the potato chips and they're not homemade, they just heat up bagged chips. They are still yummy tho!!
Ohhhhhhhhhhh! I thought they were homemade! I'll let him know... he'll be glad he was right!
