and comes across a MOOSEChat Icon (you can see it on the right hand side)
Stopped her in her tracks.
They both just stood there...looked at each other and thankfully the moose ran into the woods.

Sorry for the poor quailty of the pic..it's from her phone.

She lives in Alaska right?

I went years ago when my uncle was stationed there with the airforce. Beautiful country!

I remember we wanted to see a moose so bad and he said there were always out all over the place. We only ended up seeing them in the zoo and faraway when we driving through the mountains.

I know...I can't believe how close she was. Makes me very nervous. I don't think I would go on walks anymore if I saw that so close to me.
ETS: I also saw a stuffed one up close. H.U.G.E!

Wow I would be terrified. I do think they are beautiful animals though.

Have they ever been known to attack a human unprovoked?

Wow, that is freaky.. Forgive my stupidity, but are they a threat to people at all? We've all heard of bear attacks, but would a moose attack or are they non-threatening?

I don't know about being unprovoked. But if something startles them...it can happen.

ETS: She always tells me, you just need to be very still and quiet if you come this close to one.
