My doc gave me great advice that I wanted to share..
I went in for my pap last night and I was going on and on about how we've been trying to have a baby for 9 months and nothing. I told her that I use OPK's, time and schedule my sex, preseed, etc. I told her that I ovlulate and get my PD the same time every month. So she told me to "try" not to say that you're TTC, but to BD every other day following my PD to my next PD and not to buy any of that crap! She said my mind will be a lot less stressed. She also told me that it just takes time...up to year sometimes. Of course that wasn't what I wanted to hear, but it is the truth.
Just wanted to share...hope this helps you girlies

My dr said pretty much the same thing. She also said not to test until AF doesn't show because people do have chemicals and ttc gets more stressful when you know your body rejected that pregnancy. Her advise is why I'm not poas at this minute and waiting to see if this is actually a missed period.

Re: My doc gave me great advice that I wanted to share..
I haven't posted on this board in a little while but this is exactly what did it for us. We were TTC for 5 months and I was doing everything "right" (temping, OPK's, prenatals, you name it). Finally I just decided to take a month off of really "trying" and just BD often and it worked!! Not being stressed and thinking about it I honestly believe can make a difference. I wish everyone BFP's!!!!!

This is exactly, almost word for word, what happened with DH and and me when we conceived our first DC!!!

Couldnlt agree more with this! We definitely have taken it down a notch and are much more relaxed in this past month or 2. With the pressure off, at tthe very least, I just feel like a nicer person lol

Re: My doc gave me great advice that I wanted to share..
thanks for the advice- DH and I decided to BD EOD this cycle and we're still going at it- CD 28...but it definetly takes the guess work out of it.
Im still using OPKS (no smiley yet) and it does stress me out...
maybe next month we'll just BD EOD and no OPKS
