My doctor thinks I need the c-section after all..kinda bummed

So just as I expected based on my visit last week, my doctor prepared me today that I might need a section after all.

I had an internal today and I had no improvement since last week, I'm not dilated or effaced and the baby is VERY high up. Kiera was also very high up even when I went into labor which was one of the 3 reasons I wound up with a section. They felt that with her even after 2 hours of pushing she was not at all moving down. So my doctor told me today that she wants me to schedule a c-section just in case this doesn't happen on it's own and I have no progression. IF the baby starts dropping then she will cancel the section and let me try this on my own but it looks like I will wind up with the section. So I am scheduled for May 30th, which is my due date. She's letting me go to my due date and we'll keep evaluating the possibilities over the next few weeks.

I knew this was always a possibility but I was really hoping to try for a VBAC. Of course I am happy that in the end I am getting a baby but I'm just a little bummed that I might end up with another section and that apparently my body just can't do a vaginal delivery.

I am sorry. I understand how you feel. I hope that this little baby moves down and gives you what you want.
