my dog is sick again...any advice

About two months ago my lab had vomiting and diarrhea with a very loud gurgling stomach. I took him to the vet and he gave him a shot to stop him from vomiting and then another anti-naseau pill as well as acidopholus (sp?) to get his system back on track. The vet thinks he ate something strange in the yard.

Last night this whole process started all over again. He vomited this morning and his stomach is so loud. no diarrhea this time. I really don't want to put him back on all those pills again.

Anyone have similar experience???

i did place a call to the vet to see what he thought.

NO vomitting or diarrhea, but my pups stomach was making noises earlier this week. He wouldn't eat and looked very sad.
The vet said it could be that the Giardia wasn't out of his system (he was on meds about a month ago). so we got something for that.
Before we left the office, he spit up (no food just saliva/mucous) so the Dr gave him something to sooth his stomach.
He's been ok since then. We go back next week for a checkup.

the vet just called and said to give him some honey/syrup on his gums for energy....although he is NOT lethargic. he wants to see him today or tomorrow so i said i would call in the morning and bring him in if he wasn't better.

thanks for asking. I went to the vet and they gave me the meds he had two months ago. He is doing much better. I just have to figure out what he's eating in the yard that is making him so sick.

If he is eating something in the yard he might have a deficiency of some sort. Maybe he is not getting something from his food. It is even possible that your pup does not have a good balance of flora in his colon.

Ask your vet if you can supplement his food with live culture yogurt to help.
