My Dollar Tree OPK Story
I went to Dollar Tree yesterday to look for the OPKs and was happy to find a bunch. I find the few other things that I need and make my way up to the counter. Since I was holding a boatload of OPKs I "hid" them in my basket with a few other goodies around them. The Dollar Tree I went to is sort of local and I didn't want to run into anyone.
Well, I get to the counter, wait my turn on line, and the cashier says as LOUDLY as anything, "DO THESE THINGS REALLY WORK?" and holds up the test so everyone on line can see. OMG, really? Please? Why must the ENTIRE line know that I am going home to BD and try to get PG?
She proceeds to tell me about her friend who takes her temperature every day. All I wanted to do was get the heck out of there. I told her that YES, they do work and FLEW out the door!
I guess that's what you get for a buck, huh?

It's that the worst?!?! I had the SAME thing happen to me when i went there to buy HPTs. I bought a crap load and the cashier was like "Do you think these really work?!!? I mean they are so cheap do you think they are like the expensive ones?!" and she said it SO LOUD. I had like 5 people behind me. I was like IDK really fast and grabbed my bags and ran out
WT F who does that

Re: My Dollar Tree OPK Story
I'm sorry, but I think that's SOOOOO f-in rude! Not everyone wants the world to know about their fertility/pregnancy testing status!
It's like when you go buy tampons, condoms, or anything related - NOOOOOOOOOO need to ask loud questions about it or hold it up for others to see what you have!!!

Re: My Dollar Tree OPK Story
Why do they feel the need to comment on what your buying. That is so rude. I could see if no one else was in the store, if she asked you just with the two of you. Who does that? Good to know that if I go to buy those I have something else to worry about. I use to only buy condoms at Target so I could throw them in the cart with everything else lol. Whenever I buy a HPT I feel like the person is judging my because I am on the younger side. I wouldn't buy one once b/c I left my wedding band at home, and didn't want them to think things lol.
