My endo nightmare
I haven't been on in awhile because my endometriosis literally killed my kidney. I need to have it removed :( It's amazing what goes on inside your body so for all you endo girls keep on top of it with cat scans/MRI to see where it has spread. My surgery is next week and I'm a nervous wreck! The one and only good thing is I'll have a nice amount of time off from work :)

Re: My endo nightmare
OMG so sorry to hear....hope you have a quick recovery.
it is amazing what goes on inside the body and you can have no clue! after pregnancy my endo symptoms had practically ceased so I thought I was in the clear. To my surprise when I went to the RE to start a FET cycle I found out I have 2 endometriomas one on each ovary . hopefully I don't need another surgery but I am moving forward with the FET before I decide on what to do with those...

Good luck! I hope you don't need surgery! It's amazing how pregnancy helps "cure" the endo but it's so hard to get preg! I have one endo cyst on my right ovary that was drained a year ago during my surgery. The bad thing with my endo is it's mostly pelvic meaning it's on my bladder, in my colon, on my appendix and was in my kidney tube which caused a blockage and slowly killed my kidney :( I'm ready to call it quits

Re: My endo nightmare
Can I ask you what were your symptoms with the kidney infiltration and way they diagnosed? I'm going for my physical in a few weeks and I know my dr will push an abdominal CT scan bc of kidney issues I had all of my life. Chronic kidney infections and when I drink a lot of water at a time, I have severe spasms so he thinks the endo might be narrowing my ureter. I put off the scan initially bc the abdominal scan has a high dose of radiation and I was trying to get pregnant. Your post is pushing me to face it! I have such fear what my stage 4 has done to my body since my last surgery. This is such a terrible disease and I wish you so much luck and comfort. You have been through so much and I admire your strength!

Last year when my gyno first suspected I had endo I was sent for an MRI and they saw masses all over me. It also showed that there was a blockage in my ureter and my kidney was swollen (hydronephrosis). During my surgery I had a stent placed in the ureter. After the stent came out I had a renal scan which showed one kidney only working at 15%. This was a year ago and the dr said it could either regain function or not....So a year later almost to date I had the worst pain in my life and went to the ER (middle of the night). There they saw the hydronephrosis was back and my kidney has lost almost all function. Fortunately my other kidney is fine. It's mostly the scar tissue that caused another blockage. Basically if I don't get it out I'm a walking time bomb for the kidney to become toxic so Monday I go in for the removal. Lilies I know we have very similar endo stories, I'm stage 4 too. Thank you for your kind words, I hope you do not have the same kidney problem and good luck at your dr apt :)
