My Feeding People, Q: re: play therapy
We recently started seeing a new feeding/OT therapist for his feeding issues & after 4 sessions she suggested play therapy w/ a psychologist to help him ease his anxiety over eating. Whenever food is even presented his whole demeanor changes & he shuts down. She said the play therapy will get him over his fear.
Has anyone had any experience w/ this? Can you recommend someone. (She said she would give me a rec on Fri., she wanted me to contact school district first; yet I know that won't go anywhere).
Thank you.

Re: My Feeding People, Q: re: play therapy
It totally makes sense, kids love to play and if something looks yummy hey you never know. I got my son to eat pancakes by getting some animal cut outs (he's obsessed with animals) and he'd sit there and cut them out and play. Now he eats them all the time. To bad I can't "cut out" veggies! I tried using broccoli as trees and he just giggles but won't eat them.
