why cant people just play to have fun

so my SIL(who is also my best friend) coaches her 7yr olds soccer team. They didnt have enough coaches so they asked her and she agreed. She has 4 boys by the way......well one of the kids fathers is one of those winning is all that matters and he is a complete jacka$$. so he emailed the soccer club people to tell them that his son is the only good player that knows what he is doing and my SIL doesnt know how to coach etc.
so I went to her practice because she felt intimidated by this guy.well he completely TOOK OVER which pisses me off he is not coach.

so now my DH is going up to him at the game and telling him off because he made his sister cry......I just hope they dont fight(my DH is VERY PROTECTIVE of the women in his life)

I dont get why people dont stuff like that. i mean your sil is the coach not him and this guy needs to learn that the world does not revolve around him. i am sorry your sil has to deal with a loser like that and i hope your dh can settle this without fighting.

Thaty guy should not be a coach. My stepson was on a team like that. The coaches son was on the team and he was absolutely AWFUL, yet Little Ronnie got to pitch in EVERY game because dads the coach and by fluke, because other teams really stink, he wins. This guy must win and at the award ceremony at the end of the season, all the other coaches spoke about how great their teams did this year and this guy said NOTHING about his team, because they didn't win first. It is really sad that they try to instill a winning is everything attitude in young kids and let the bad side come out if they don't win. Its a GAME!!!!

OMG, I just re read what you wrote...this guy isn't even a coach??? If I were your sister, I turn to him, tell him to sit down and shut up or he'll be made to leave.

It's sad, pathetic and abusive. Parents must stop living vicariously through their children. It's parents like that who have caused all of the joy to be removed from such activities for kids and the other parents.

It's supposed to be about having fun and running around. They are 7 for ******'s sake
