My feelings got hurt bad last night. (long)
We went to a birthday BBQ and one of the older guests walks up to me and whispers--why you put on so much weight? My heart sank inside and I looked at him and said becuase I am sick. He doesnt get it (nor am I going to volunteer my digestive issues with an Arse) He looks at my Dh and said you cant let her put on the weight. So my DH catches the daggers I was about to throw and tells him--weight is the least of our worries. I just want her healthy. He then takes my hand and leads me away.
Ladies I am so tired. I gained a few pounds (at least 20lbs) for various reasons--my body thinks it in starvation mode due to my stomach issues that I had during pregnancy and not eating for almost 4 mths so regardless of if I eat 1 cal or 1 million its holding on to it. My weight gain is happening AFTER Pregancy-my OBGYN and Gastroenerologist are keeping track and once I am done nursing DD they are going to have me on water pills and meds. I have enough on my plate and its to a point where I dont even want to go out of my house because I dont think I should have to explain that. Plus the girls bday is coming and I know everyone is going to be "checking" me out. DH's family already make comments and now its idiots like that one who say it to my face.
Sorry just had to get that out. I see why people get anorexic or bulimic to tell you the truth.

I'm so sorry you had to deal with such an insensitive jackass!
Nobody can understand what you have had to deal with and he has absolutely no right to say something like that! Completely rude!
Hang in there and just know that I remember all your posts while you were pregnant and to me, you are an inspiration!

I never understood why people feel it's necessary to do this to others!!!!!
I am so much heavier than Ive ever been. I, however, have no excuse. I need to drop 20lbs desperately...But my weight is really noone else's business...
Next time someone feels the need to point out such things to you...respond in the following manner...
"Boy you've put on a ton of weight" says insensitive jerk...
"Why yes I have. Thank you for pointing that out...I was just going to say the same to you"
or
"Why yes I have. Thank you for pointing that out...I was just going to mention how much you've aged since the last time we GTG. A good moisterizer can do wonders"

Thanks so much ladies. And you Hbugal just made me crack a smile since yesterday. I was actually going to ask the jerk if he was going to be the next man to deliver a baby considering how big his belly was

You went through so much during your pregnancy. I don't think I would have survived what you went through and still manage to have such a pretty little girl.
Regardless of your pregnancy, it's totally unappropriate.

Oh my that is just completely and totally and utterly RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So you gained a few pounds - its not like you are a drug dealer or going to jail BIG DEAL!!!!!! Some people are ALWAYS fat and, you know what, they are happy too - and what business is it of his anyway??? PLEASE do not let this stress you out! HOnestly, in a few years you will forget ALL about how much you weighed at this point in time and ALL that will matter is the memories you have of the time you spent with your family - so please, enjoy yourself and be happy with who you are - a great mom and a great wife and to that loser - well that is just what he is - a LOSER

I'm not a violent person, but I would have hit him if I were you. Or...if I had been there, and heard him say that to you - I would have hit him also. You sacrificed for yiour baby more than most people I know. You had THE most difficult pregnancy I've ever heard of, yey you stayed strong through it all and now you have a healthy beautiful daughter because of YOUR hard work. And even afterwards, you continue to sacrifice your body so you can breastfeed. You are an amazing woman. More amazing than that "man" will ever understand. Please dont' take his words to heart. You are a beautiful person inside - and that's what matters.

What an *******, i know how you feel, someone though I was pregnant and im 7 months PP... my heart also sank, people are assholes!!! Im sure you are beautiful...I need to lose plenty, beleive me!!!
