My first experience w/ Kraupners

I got a call this morning and thought it must be a mistake, b/c I'm not allowed to take any fertility meds for a while...
Anyway, LI-IVF called to confirm my appointment on Monday, so I asked her to speak w/ one of the nurses while I had her on the phone. She put me through and they told me the prescription was for the methotrexate shots-- because I 'borrowed' their stock and now I have to replace it (fair enough).
So I call back (and I'm not kidding here) and they put me on hold for over 10 mins! They then come back and tell me for 3 vials it's going to cost me $75.00. THEN she asks me if I have insurance and I say yes- so we go through my insurance information- and then she tells me that I have to call THEM back in an hour to find out what my copay is going to be! Shouldn't they be calling me? So in an hour I can get put on hold for another 10 mins.... Ah the joys of customer service....

Yep, this is how they work, I had to get a trigger from them once and I wasn't impressed by their CS service at all. Also - I had to pay a lot more for it than usual because they gave me ovidrel instead of the generic that I usually got. So instead of it costing me $2, it cost me $30.

I was just on the phone w/ them again... for another 10+ mins.
I thought she was going to come back saying she couldn't find my information b/c when I gave her my last name (my legal hyphenated last name which my ins. is under) she said oh, ok "Trotta" and put me on phone. How in the world she got that from my last name is beyond me but I tried to correct her and she was gone.
I guess she must've used the caller ID or something b/c she finally came back and told me my copay was $7, which is better than $75.
So I asked her if it was for the methotrexate and for 3 vials worth and she said yes. Don't know- but she figured it out! So she told me it would be waiting there for me on Monday for my appointment in the afternoon (yeah, I'll be skipping those shots- thanks though). I know they're just replenishing their stock but I wasn't too thrilled at the thought.

Shannon - you and pharmacies have it out for each other (lets not forget Precision RX ) You don't need this aggravation !

That sucks. I never had a problem with them. they even drove to me ( 2 hours ) in a torrential tropical storm aftermath rain storm cause I needed the meds ( they didnt get to me till almost midnight)...

It stinks to have to deal with rude people.

Shannon, I've had the EXACT same experience with them when it comes to customer service. I won't use them again!

Well, you know my experience with them!!!! I hate that LI-IVF will only use them. I really don't want to deal with them again although this time, I'll be more prepared!

I had a screaming match with the CS person. The owner called me up and apologized and gave me some free syringes and his cell-phone number in case I had any other problems with their CS. So that made up for everything else. But, it is so stressfull having to deal with IF and then deal with the morons.

Well yesterday I was supposed to receive my FET meds btw 2-5. I had to go out so I called them around 4:30 and said, after being on hold for 10 min "I have to leave, is the driver on his way?" Another 10 minutes later they tell me that he just came in 20 minutes ago and would not be out my way until 10pm or so I was fumming!!! I said well my window was 2-5 and since he did not even come in until 20 min ago obviously he was not going to deliver within that time. Someone should have called me to re-schedule. I told them they had horrible customer service and that I would refuse to use them again. Not only that I told them I am going to tell my RE about my experience and tell them not to use Kraupners again. On hold another 10 minutes and they waived my $100 copay!!!! Plus they delivered them last night. OK I might use them again, may be. I have still had a lot of issues with them. Hopefully I won't need any IF pharm ever again.

They never deliver within the time window. It is very frustrating, as you sit home all day for the delivery between the window of time they are supposed to deliver and the time they actually do.

I've dealt w/Kraupners on two occasions. Once in July for my Ovridel trigger and two days ago for all my IVF cycle meds. They are ok. I just seems a little crazy and unorganized there. They "hung up" on me after I was on hold for 10 minutes. I had to call back. They were apologetic but you could hear all the craziness in the back-ground. At the end of the day I got all my meds delivered within the window they promised so it was fine.
