my first holy shyte moment at 12:38 am

Luce had been coughing on an off all day but I thought it was just from excess saliva.

last night we both feel asleep on the couch (him in my lap on the boppy).

at around 12:30 I got up to go to bed and he woke up so I fed him. as I am feeding him he starts to appear like he is having trouble breathing. he was coughing and sniffling and coughing and taking very shallow breathes.

I was freaking out so I woke up my husband AND my MIL. I also called my uncle's wife ( a nurse) b/c I was seriously ready to take him to the E.R.

I brought him into the steamy bathroom and used his nose drops and aspirator. eventually he coughed up/sucked out enough phelgm and went back to sleep in my MIL's arms. she sat with him for two hours, in the same spot, so I could get a little sleep and then I took over.

when he woke up this morning, he smiled at me like nothing happened. my sweet sweet happy boy.

he had no idea how his mommy had her heart in her throat for hours.

why do they have to get congested so YOUNG?!

You would think Ethan was a cigar smoker!!!!! He cough all the time, is stuffed up a LOT and makes me freak out when I too feed him. Sometimes he even wheezes!

It's their bodies developing but boy at 3:30am when he chokes or coughs I go CRAZY

I'm glad to hear your little one is doing fine and it's always amazing how they look at you like, what are you freaking out about!!!

My DD had RSV when she was 2 weeks old, so I definitely know how scary the having trouble breathing can be.

What a scary moment I'm glad he's feeling better and was all smiles this morning. It's always harder for mommy bc she doesn't forget. We called 911 at 5 weeks bc he couldn't breath, worst day ever. Sounds like you did all the right things mommy.
